Job Overview

Atlanta Autism Center Inc is in search of a dedicated Prior Authorizations Specialist with expertise in ABA authorizations within Georgia. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all necessary documentation is accurately compiled and submitted for prior authorizations related to autism ABA therapy, encompassing both Initial Assessments and ongoing treatment services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather and prepare essential documentation for prior authorization requests.
  • Submit authorization requests for autism ABA therapy, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of GAMMIS & CentralReach systems, along with all relevant payer sites and submission methods.
  • Monitor the status of submitted authorizations and manage any required reconsiderations.

Future Opportunities:

This position has the potential to evolve into a billing and authorizations management role, which would encompass:

  • Claims submissions and clearinghouse management.
  • Payment posting and management of patient balances.
  • Denial management within CentralReach.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in ABA Behavioral Health authorizations in Georgia is required.
  • Experience with OT & SLP billing is considered an advantage.
