Purpose of the Role:
This role is integral to the service department at Mingledorff's Inc., focusing on field operations and administrative responsibilities. This includes scheduling, documentation, and billing for service tasks, alongside delivering technical support to both employees and clients. A key aspect of this position is to foster positive relationships with dealers and customers regarding the service of our products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver technical training and diagnostic support, along with on-site troubleshooting and start-up assistance for clients as required.
- Assist mechanical contractors, business owners, sales representatives, and engineers during equipment initiation and certification processes.
- Conduct training sessions covering all product lines for clients, engineers, end-users, and internal staff as necessary.
- Ensure accurate completion and submission of start-up documentation to both internal teams and equipment manufacturers.
- Stay updated on current installation and service practices relevant to the equipment offered by Mingledorff's Inc.
- Timely submission of warranty documentation to manufacturers and collaboration with the office administrator for warranty service reimbursements.
- Oversee the proper allocation and invoicing of job-related start-ups and field troubleshooting activities.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with technical service and application teams at various manufacturers, providing timely insights on product-related challenges and constructive feedback on design and manufacturing.
- Maintain expertise on all products represented by the company.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Work effectively in a team environment.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Commercial Construction Science, Air Conditioning Technology, or a related discipline is preferred.
- EPA Certification is preferred.
- NATE certification is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in the HVAC sector is preferred.
- Proficient in using advanced tools including digital gauges, volt-amp-temperature-rpm meters, laptops, tablets, smartphones, and HVAC-related software.
- Experience in commissioning HVAC products in specialized environments, such as laboratories and hospitals, is advantageous.
- Familiarity with various service software solutions is a plus.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record as per company policies.
- Must qualify for and remain insurable under the company's liability insurance policy.
- Must meet federal and state regulations for vehicle operation.
Physical Requirements:
While executing the responsibilities of this position, the employee may be required to stand, walk, sit, lay on the floor, use hands for handling tools or controls, reach with arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds and may work in temperature extremes ranging from 20 to 105 degrees. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Travel Requirements:
- Up to 50% travel to client job sites and offices, with some assignments requiring overnight stays, as well as attendance at industry conferences and training sessions, which may necessitate extended travel.
