Job Summary

Mission-driven professional sought to lead the development, management, and implementation of initiatives that deliver core programs and services, provide funding, and promote the mission of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) throughout assigned states.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Management: Develop and manage state employees and volunteers to achieve organizational goals.
  • Fundraising and Development: Identify and develop sources of funds necessary to continue operations, ensuring the sustainability of MADD's mission.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Recruit and develop a State Advisory Board to fulfill MADD's mission, fostering collaborative relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Capacity Building: Develop strategic plans to enable future growth of mission objectives, ensuring the organization's continued relevance and impact.
  • Public Engagement: Promote the organization's mission and initiatives through outreach to the public, media, and elected officials, enhancing MADD's visibility and credibility.
  • Program Development: Identify areas where victims are underserved and develop programs to ensure services are available, addressing the needs of those affected by drunk driving.
  • Grant Administration: Supervise grant administration, including liaison and reporting to grant funders, ensuring compliance and maximizing funding opportunities.
  • Talent Development: Recruit, train, and develop employees and volunteers, building a skilled and dedicated team.
  • Operational Efficiency: Ensure programs, services, and grants are implemented efficiently and effectively, maximizing impact and minimizing waste.
Qualifications:
  • Leadership Experience: 7 years of progressively more responsible management experience in nonprofit businesses, with a proven track record of success.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience, demonstrating a strong foundation in business, management, or a related field.
  • Networking and Recruitment: Ability to network and recruit support, building relationships with key stakeholders and securing resources for the organization.
  • Travel and Flexibility: Ability to travel, work a flexible schedule, and respond to emergency situations, demonstrating adaptability and a commitment to the organization's mission.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop and convey thoughts clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Ability to work independently and with others to resolve issues, demonstrating a collaborative and team-oriented approach.
  • Work Ethic: Strong work ethic with the ability to maintain a high activity level, demonstrating a commitment to the organization's mission and goals.
  • Customer Service: Exceptional internal and external customer service orientation, ensuring a positive experience for stakeholders and constituents.
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrated computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
