We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced State Executive Director to lead our efforts in delivering core programs and services, providing funding, and promoting the mission of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) throughout the assigned states.
Key Responsibilities:- Leadership and Management: Develop and manage all state employees and volunteers, ensuring a high-performing team that aligns with MADD's mission and goals.
- Strategic Planning: Identify and develop sources of funds necessary to continue operations, including grant administration and fundraising efforts.
- Community Engagement: Recruit and develop a State Advisory Board to fulfill MADD's mission, and promote the organization's initiatives through outreach to the public, media, and elected officials.
- Program Development: Develop strategic capacity building plans to enable future growth of mission objectives, and identify areas where victims are underserved and develop programs to ensure services are available.
- Grant Administration: Supervise grant administration, including liaison and reporting to grant funders, and ensure programs, services, and grants are implemented efficiently and effectively.
- Employee Development: Recruit, train, and develop employees and volunteers, ensuring a strong and capable team that supports MADD's mission.
- Leadership Experience: 7 years of progressively more responsible management experience in nonprofit businesses, with a proven track record of success in leadership and management.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience, with a strong understanding of nonprofit business operations.
- Skills: Ability to network and recruit support, travel, work a flexible schedule, and respond to emergency situations, with strong organizational skills, detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop and convey thoughts clearly, and ability to work independently and with others to resolve issues.
- Work Ethic: Strong work ethic with the ability to maintain a high activity level, and exceptional internal and external customer service orientation.
- Technical Skills: Demonstrated computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Health and Wellness: Health, Dental, Vision, and Modified Educational Assistance.
