Key Responsibilities

  • Hiring and Training: Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of restaurant staff, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Staff Scheduling: Organize and oversee staff schedules to ensure optimal coverage and productivity.
  • Food Preparation and Safety: Oversee food preparation, ensuring compliance with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene standards.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure customer satisfaction with all aspects of the restaurant and dining experience, handling customer complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with alcoholic beverage regulations and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Cost Control: Estimate food and beverage costs, manage inventory, and make informed purchasing decisions to optimize profitability.
  • Performance Management: Appraise staff performance, provide feedback, and implement strategies to improve productivity and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience: Proven work experience as a Restaurant Manager, Restaurant General Manager, or similar role, with a strong background in customer service and food and beverage operations.
  • Skills and Abilities: Self-directed, entrepreneurial mindset, ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong attention to detail.

Physical Demands

The employee frequently is required to walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • This position requires travel to other locations predominantly by driving.
  • Position may require overnight travel.
  • Position requires the ability to work before or after normal business hours to meet deadlines and attend meetings and to be available on holidays and weekends if needed.
