Job Overview

Position Title: Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) Installation Specialist

Work Environment: Various locations across the country requiring travel for each assignment.

Employment Type: Full Time, W2, Fiber Technician Role.

Compensation: Competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, with weekly earnings between $1,550 and $2,000. Benefits include health insurance, paid time off, and a 401k plan.

Eligibility: A valid US work authorization is mandatory for this role.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Valid US Driver's License
  • Current residency in the US with work authorization; VISA sponsorship is not offered.
  • Previous experience in telecommunications or FTTH installation.
  • Resume showcasing relevant FTTH experience.
  • Vehicle suitable for carrying a ladder rack (e.g., truck, van, large SUV).

Role Responsibilities:

  • Fiber Optic Cable Deployment: Install fiber optic cables in homes and businesses while adhering to company and client specifications.
  • Splicing and Termination: Execute splicing and termination of fiber optic cables to ensure optimal performance.
  • Equipment Setup: Configure and install FTTH devices such as Optical Network Terminals (ONTs) and routers.
  • Client Interaction: Deliver professional customer service and support throughout the installation process.
  • Quality Control: Conduct tests to verify that operational systems meet established performance criteria.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed installation documentation and provide timely updates.
  • Safety Standards: Comply with safety regulations and company protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
  • Travel Requirements: Travel to various locations for installation tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; fiber optics training or certification is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in fiber optic cable installation and FTTH deployment.
  • Familiarity with splicing and termination methodologies.
  • Knowledge of FTTH equipment and hardware.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical capability to adapt to diverse working conditions.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and adapt to flexible schedules.
