Field Equipment Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Field Equipment Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of construction machinery and have a proven track record of performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on a variety of equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Independently perform preventative maintenance and repairs on a range of construction equipment, including concrete pumps, trowel machines, paving machines, early entry saws, vacuums, Bobcats, light towers, and generators.
  • Diagnose defects in machinery and heavy equipment through thorough inspection and testing.
  • Repair and replace worn parts to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity.
  • Test repaired or assembled mechanical products and equipment to verify compliance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubrication, and inspections on equipment and vehicles.
Qualifications
  • 2-5 years of proven experience working as a mechanic on construction machinery.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • A comprehensive set of tools necessary for performing repairs and maintenance on the specified equipment.

  • Exceptional organizational skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • The ability to effectively track maintenance records and repairs.
  • Experience in tracking company-owned equipment and assets.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to stand, stoop, bend, and crouch for extended periods (up to 10 hours per day). You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. The work environment involves outdoor conditions and exposure to various weather elements.
