Mechanical Plumbing Project Leader

Talascend is currently seeking a Mechanical Plumbing Superintendent for a contract opportunity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide leadership and guidance for daily field operations of assigned projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and maximizing profitability.
  • Maintain a secure and safe work environment through regular safety meetings, incident investigations, and active employee participation.
  • Offer essential leadership for field operations to foster a cohesive team dynamic alongside project management.
  • Manage field personnel priorities based on technical skills and staffing levels to enhance efficiency, customer satisfaction, and cost reduction.
  • Collaborate with General Superintendent and Project Managers to facilitate local staff hiring, conduct performance evaluations, recommend salary adjustments, and resolve personnel matters.
  • Oversee all site construction activities and supervise field personnel to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion.
  • Uphold the highest quality standards while supervising trade and field personnel, enforcing effective construction safety practices across all on-site activities.
  • Conduct material take-offs and manage orders for tools, materials, and equipment.
  • Coordinate installation efforts among trades and monitor subcontractor progress.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company regulations for all on-site employees.
  • Schedule equipment deliveries with the General Contractor and arrange periodic inspections by regulatory authorities.
  • Guarantee adherence to state, local, and federal legal requirements.
  • Ensure work quality meets corporate standards and project specifications.
  • Conduct staff meetings with Foremen and field personnel to address management issues and promote safety and productivity enhancements.
  • Manage financial aspects of projects, including labor, material, and other cost-related budgets and objectives.
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure start-up and commissioning processes align with company and project standards.
  • Assist in coordinating quality assurance for drafting resources and fabrication/manufacturing on the project.
  • Foster and maintain company culture.
  • Implement productivity improvements in the field, ensuring project compliance and quality assurance.
  • Uphold customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • This position is Full-Time and reports to the General Superintendent and Project Manager.
