Position Overview: Senior Project Manager

icon Mechanical is on the lookout for skilled professionals to enhance our Project Management division. As a premier design engineering, fabrication, and self-performing mechanical contractor, we specialize in HVAC, Piping, and Plumbing systems. We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee our Project Management operations. The ideal candidate will possess over 5 years of experience in a Mechanical Project Management role or a related field. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and direct intricate mechanical projects encompassing HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical piping systems from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and client satisfaction.
  • Implement site safety protocols and compliance measures, including safety plans, audits, and pre-task planning.
  • Collaborate with the Design and Engineering Team to produce permit drawings, update progress drawings, and formulate comprehensive project plans.
  • Ensure that project plans, specifications, and materials are delivered and installed according to approved submittals and RFIs.
  • Mentor and guide other Project Managers within the team.
  • Manage subcontractor coordination, defining scopes of work, preparing contracts, and overseeing schedules.
  • Develop advanced project timelines for all contracted scopes.
  • Administer the financial budget and forecasting throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including clients, general contractors, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Facilitate effective communication with field personnel, fabrication shops, and safety teams.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Mechanical Construction Project Management (HVAC, Piping, and Plumbing) is essential.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience in the Mechanical sector is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC and Piping Systems, construction details, and relevant regulations and quality standards.
  • Proficiency in construction management software (Microsoft Office Suite, ProCore, BlueBeam, P6 preferred; Viewpoint and Autodesk are a plus).
  • Self-driven with exceptional time management and project coordination skills.
  • A strong commitment to achieving long-term goals.
  • Confidence in problem-solving abilities and a commitment to finding solutions for unknown challenges.
