Position Overview: Senior Project Manager

icon Mechanical is in search of skilled professionals to enhance our Project Management division. As a prominent design engineering, fabrication, and self-performing mechanical contractor, we specialize in HVAC, Piping, and Plumbing systems. We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to contribute to our Project Management department. The ideal candidate will possess over 5 years of experience in Mechanical Project Management or a comparable role. Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing and directing intricate mechanical projects encompassing HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical piping systems from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and client satisfaction.
  • Implementing site safety protocols and compliance measures, including site-specific safety plans, audits, toolbox talks, and pre-task planning.
  • Collaborating with the Design and Engineering Team to produce permit drawings, update progress drawings, and establish comprehensive project plans.
  • Verifying that project plans, specifications, and materials are delivered and installed according to approved submittals and RFIs.
  • Mentoring and guiding other Project Managers within the team.
  • Coordinating with subcontractors by defining their scope of work, preparing contracts, managing changes, and scheduling their activities.
  • Creating detailed project schedules for all contracted scopes.
  • Managing the financial aspects and forecasting of the project throughout its lifecycle.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, general contractors, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Facilitating effective communication with field personnel, fabrication shops, warehouse managers, and safety teams.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in Mechanical Construction (HVAC, Piping, and Plumbing) is essential.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience in the Mechanical industry is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC and Piping Systems, construction details/design, and relevant regulations and quality standards.
  • Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, ProCore, BlueBeam, P6, Viewpoint, and Autodesk) is preferred.
  • Self-driven with exceptional time management and project management capabilities.
  • A strong commitment to achieving long-term and meaningful objectives.
