Job Overview

Position Summary

The Cybersecurity Analyst role is a full-time exempt position focused on the development and execution of cybersecurity protocols and safeguards for information systems. This position is essential for ensuring operational readiness and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the formulation of cybersecurity protocols and safeguards for information systems and networks to meet program specifications.
  • Contribute to the establishment and enforcement of controls in alignment with sanctioned Risk Management Framework (RMF) documentation and organizational policies.
  • Oversee the monitoring of information systems within secure environments, adhering to corporate security standards (e.g., CMMC, NIST 800-53, RMF Packages).
  • Collaborate with program and governmental teams to ensure compliance with DFARs, NIST, and CMMC standards.
  • Generate technical documentation and effectively convey the cybersecurity status and compliance of systems as required.
  • Engage in customer meetings, evaluations, audits, and testing events as necessary.
  • Complete mandatory training to uphold certifications and comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Management, Security, or a related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in supporting Department of Defense (DoD) programs.
  • Comprehensive understanding of government security regulations, manuals, and processes, including NISPOM and NIST SP 800-53.
  • Possession of certifications as per DoD directive 8570.1, IAM Level I or higher is required.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to manage tasks efficiently and deliver timely results.

Physical Demands

  • Must successfully complete a D.O.T pre-employment physical examination.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces is necessary.
  • Capable of performing tasks in challenging conditions onboard a vessel.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry weights ranging from 30-60 lbs over distances up to 400 feet.
  • Ability to climb steep or vertical ladders is required.

Security Clearance Requirements

  • An active Secret clearance is mandatory; Top Secret clearance is preferred.

Travel Requirements

  • Willingness to travel up to 75% annually to various locations.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts as needed.
