Job Summary

As a proactive organization, we prioritize the health and safety of our members and staff. The Program Operations Coordinator will play a vital role in ensuring the effective and efficient functioning of our facilities during program hours. This position encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including youth group management, lesson execution, supply distribution, and supervision of program areas and members.

Job Requirements

While full vaccination against COVID-19 is not mandatory for frontline employees, BCNY strongly encourages all staff to be vaccinated and receive booster shots.

Responsibilities
  • Engage positively with members to ensure their safety and involvement at all times.
  • Maintain accurate records of member attendance and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Conduct informative tours for visitors, potential members, and parents.
  • Oversee program areas, including entryways and locker rooms, to ensure a safe environment.
  • Participate in a variety of activities, including games, arts and crafts, and field trips.
  • Organize materials and report any misuse or damage.
  • Utilize behavior management techniques to address inappropriate conduct.
  • Attend mandatory professional development sessions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education or relevant experience of 6 months to 1 year, or a combination of both.
  • Proven organizational and leadership skills.
  • Associate's degree (A.A) is preferred.
  • Experience in camp, after-school, or educational settings is advantageous.
  • First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
