We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular Short Stay team at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care to patients with cardiovascular conditions, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop plans to address these needs.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Michigan.
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the AHA.
- At least six months of experience in a cardiovascular or telemetry setting.
- Experience with 12-lead EKG and arterial sheath management.
- Post-procedure RN experience.
- ACLS certification.
