We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI. As a critical care nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in our Surgery Recovery Room, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities- Provide professional nursing care to patients in the Surgery Recovery Room, utilizing evidence-based practice and critical thinking skills to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with a range of medical conditions.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, medication administration, and other critical care parameters, taking prompt action to address any concerns or issues that arise.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, providing clear and concise information about patient care and treatment plans.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices and policies that enhance patient care and safety.
- Licensed Registered Nurse with current licensure in the state of Michigan.
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification, with Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 12 months of hire date.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with ACLS certification within 6 months of hire date.
- Associate's degree in Nursing (AAS) or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN), with critical care experience preferred.
