The Records Management Specialist plays a vital role in facilitating the operations of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). This permanent, full-time position encompasses a variety of responsibilities:
- Overseeing file operations and upkeep, including file storage, organization, and consolidations,
- Updating federal systems,
- Conducting audits of file storage areas within the organization,
- Linking correspondence to archived files, digitizing documents,
- Filing duplicates of certificates and notifications,
- Assisting in the processing of forms and applications,
- Performing other assigned tasks as necessary.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required,
- Capability to obtain a Public Trust/Suitability Clearance,
- Proficient in English,
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 45 lbs., and perform tasks in a physical environment,
- Willingness to bend, stoop, climb, and reach as needed.
