Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Automotive Body Shop Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of our body shop, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our shop operates efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Body Shop Operations: Oversee the daily activities of our body shop, including scheduling, payroll, inventory management, and tool maintenance.
  • Lead a Team: Supervise and mentor our body shop technicians and clerks, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the tools and resources needed to succeed.
  • Ensure Customer Satisfaction: Work closely with our customers to understand their needs and ensure that their vehicles are repaired to the highest standards.
  • Manage Productivity: Analyze and improve our shop's productivity, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Maintain Quality Standards: Ensure that all repairs and services meet our high quality standards, adhering to manufacturer guidelines and industry best practices.
  • Manage Inventory and Supplies: Oversee the management of our inventory and supplies, ensuring that we have the necessary materials and equipment to complete repairs and services.
  • Collaborate with Vendors: Work with external vendors to source parts and supplies, negotiating prices and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Maintain Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date on all federal, state, and local regulations affecting our operations, ensuring that our shop is in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in a high-volume body shop, with a proven track record of success in managing operations and leading a team.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent customer service skills, strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in inventory management and scheduling software.
  • Certifications: Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
