About the Role

CyrusOne is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our site acquisitions and location strategy efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive strategy to support the company's long-term growth and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a site acquisitions strategy to support the company's growth objectives
  • Lead a team of professionals in site acquisitions and development
  • Manage relationships with internal and external organizations, government agencies, power utilities, consultants, and real estate service providers
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities to acquire land and maintain a pipeline of land acquisition opportunities in key markets
  • Plan, execute, coordinate, and oversee all land acquisition and project development activities
  • Develop, document, and clearly articulate the business case for land acquisition and project development opportunities
  • Lead and coordinate a highly energetic and results-driven team to ensure the viability of identified projects
  • Serve as liaison between the site acquisitions and financial planning and analysis teams
  • Present projects and deals to senior management and/or the Capital Committee
Requirements
  • 10+ years of increasing responsibility in site selection, data center and/or industrial real estate development
  • Previous applicable experience working in a commercial negotiation environment with excellent management, negotiation, and influencing skills
  • Track record of success effectively supervising, training, mentoring, and evaluating team members
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to present points of view in an effective way
  • Strong team approach and ability to work with different teams in the organization
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Law, Engineering, or other related field (work experience may be substituted for degree)
