We are currently seeking a Data Center Leader to further enhance our data center design services. This role calls for a professional with a background in technical design and consulting, along with strong client interaction, business development, and project leadership skills. Our team at Arup specializes in innovative technological facilities, collaborating with leading data-driven companies to meet their data requirements.

About the Role:

  • Direct projects as a technically-focused Project Director, providing support for project managers, overseeing contract negotiations, and fostering client relationships.
  • Engage with existing technology clients to identify opportunities for expanding services.
  • Reach out to potential new clients to diversify sector coverage and deepen engagement in current sectors.
  • Conduct research on significant opportunities requiring strategic pre-positioning.
  • Develop annual and long-term business plans encompassing client development, project positioning, skills enhancement, marketing strategies, industry outreach, service expansion, and staff growth.
  • Collaborate with S&I leaders on client management, global pursuits, frameworks, and team mobility.
  • Contribute to the growth of the Texas market and the Americas region while managing the Southern geography.
  • Participate in team management initiatives in the Southern region.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Architectural).
  • Minimum of 12 years experience in delivering design and consulting services.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in Texas.
  • Established network of clients in the Texas Data Center sector.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-sector project delivery teams and manage interdisciplinary groups.
  • Experience as a design/consulting project manager with technical expertise across various disciplines.
  • Willingness to travel and collaborate with local, regional, and global teams.
