Overview: The AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) team is dedicated to enhancing revenue, adoption, and growth among a diverse range of clients, from small and mid-market businesses to large enterprise customers, including those in the public sector.

Role Summary: As a Cloud Economics Business Development Manager at AWS, you will play a pivotal role in assisting customers and potential clients in shaping their IT strategies and financial models. Your expertise will help quantify the advantages of migrating applications to the cloud.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead initiatives focused on cloud economics by collaborating with internal teams and sales stakeholders.
  • Act as a vital member of the Business Development team, driving AWS Marketing and Sales efforts regarding the economic aspects of IT infrastructure.
  • Engage with AWS Sales and Business Development teams to foster proactive discussions about ROI and economic benefits with clients.
  • Utilize a standardized ROI framework and analytical models during customer interactions.
  • Support the Sales team in developing detailed financial models for current and future IT landscapes.
  • Prepare and deliver business reviews to senior management, addressing progress and challenges related to Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in customer-facing roles with a focus on executive-level communication for business case development.
  • 3+ years of experience managing projects or programs in a technology-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or financial discipline.
  • Familiarity with IT infrastructure and cloud computing principles.
