About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Sales Manager to join our team at Amazon. As a Cloud Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue and market share within the government sector, serving as a key member of the AWS Public Sector team, and articulating and implementing strategic territory and account plans aligned to AWS's strategic direction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Revenue and Market Share: Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth and increase market share within the government sector.
  • Serve as a Key Member of the AWS Public Sector Team: Collaborate with the AWS Public Sector team to advance our market and technical strategy, and provide expertise on cloud sales and business development.
  • Articulate and Implement Strategic Territory and Account Plans: Develop and implement strategic plans to drive sales growth and increase market share within the government sector.
  • Understand Technical Considerations and Certifications: Stay up-to-date on the latest technical considerations and certifications specific to the public sector, and communicate this knowledge to customers and partners.
  • Identify and Pursue Key Opportunities: Identify and pursue key opportunities within the government sector, and develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with Customers and Partners: Work closely with customers and partners to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Manage Complex Contract Negotiations: Collaborate with the AWS Legal team and other stakeholders to manage complex contract negotiations.
  • Maintain an Accurate and Robust Pipeline: Maintain an accurate and robust pipeline of business opportunities, and develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth.

Basic Qualifications
  • 7+ years of direct sales or business development experience in software, cloud, or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives.
  • 7+ years of business development, partner development, sales, or alliances management experience.
  • Knowledge of software development practices and data center/infrastructure/networking technologies.
  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of building profitable partner ecosystems experience.
  • Experience developing detailed go-to-market plans.
