Location:

Based in Redmond

Compensation:

$31.56/hour (plus .50 for Bilingual Spanish)

Hours:

Regular full-time 40 hours/week, subject to normal school year furloughs (furloughs are approximately a total of 8 weeks per year)

Benefits:

Overview of NeighborImpact's Head Start Program:

NeighborImpact Head Start is a comprehensive early education initiative serving children and families in Central Oregon. It combines high-quality pre-kindergarten education with essential services such as health, nutrition, and family advocacy.

Operating across multiple sites, NeighborImpact Head Start promotes social competence, school readiness, and the overall well-being of children aged three to five.

Key Responsibilities:

This role's daily responsibilities encompass:

In-class observations of students who may exhibit challenging behaviors, collaborating with teaching staff to develop and implement individualized student plans, overseeing classroom inclusion resources, facilitating professional goal development with classroom staff and other personnel, and preparing and conducting staff and parent training sessions throughout the academic year.


The Inclusion Services Coach is primarily responsible for coordinating and executing the disabilities, inclusion services, and mental health components of the Head Start program to ensure adherence to standards and regulations.

The Inclusion Services Coach monitors program quality and compliance, provides coaching and input to classroom staff regarding disability, inclusion, and mental health services, reviews implementation, and identifies professional development needs.

Occasionally, this position may require acting as a substitute in a classroom if staffing needs arise urgently.

Qualifications:


A BA/BS degree in Child Development, Special Education, Education, Early Intervention, or a related field with substantial coursework in child development, disabilities, special education, and/or early intervention is required.

Two years of relevant experience in an Early Childhood/Early Intervention setting or equivalent is required.
Head Start experience is preferred.
Head Start parent or past parent is preferred.
Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds is required.
Required prior to the date of hire and throughout employment:

Valid driver's license
Proof of current auto insurance
Food Handler's Card
Access to reliable transportation is required.
Current enrollment in the OR Child Care Division Central Background Registry.
Within 60 days of hire, Pediatric CPR/First Aid certification is required.
All certifications must be maintained to remain employed.
