Position Overview

As the Finance and Insurance Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role within the Sales Team, acting as the essential link to the Back Office for all documentation related to sales transactions. Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate closely with the sales department to obtain approvals for financed transactions, prepare necessary documentation, and facilitate the closing process for customers purchasing marine vessels. You will also be tasked with organizing deal files post-closing, ensuring that all transactions are processed within specified timeframes, and converting cash buyers into finance buyers while promoting ancillary products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and review sales deals from the Sales department, ensuring all paperwork is accurate and complete.
  • Submit financing applications to lender partners for approval, diligently pursuing approvals even in challenging situations.
  • Assist with customer deliveries as directed by management.
  • Prepare all necessary bank contracts and state-related paperwork for transaction closings.
  • Conduct closings with customers, ensuring all documents are accurate, signed, and compliant with bank and state regulations.
  • Work closely with the sales team to convert cash transactions into financing options.
  • Promote and sell extended service agreements, GAP coverage, and other ancillary products to enhance revenue through the finance office.
  • Provide customers with comprehensive explanations of the products they are purchasing, adhering to company compliance standards.
  • Maintain established performance metrics for revenue generation in the finance office.
  • Issue vehicle tags to customers at the time of closing using the appropriate state systems.
  • For out-of-state transactions, assess tax obligations and ensure compliance with state regulations.
  • Secure clear titles for incoming trade-ins and ensure proper inspections are completed prior to closing.
  • Ensure all deals are processed within 24 hours of delivery and follow up with necessary departments to close internal requests.
  • Prepare monthly sales commission reports for timely submission to the Finance Director.
  • Utilize the Finance and Insurance deal checklist for every transaction, ensuring all items are completed and verified.
  • Provide training and support to the sales team regarding finance products to ensure they are well-informed and capable of assisting customers.
  • Present all applicable ancillary products to customers, ensuring compliance with company policies.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Finance and Insurance within the marine or automotive dealership sectors.
  • Proven ability to structure and secure approvals for financing deals.
  • Timeliness in processing approvals and responding to sales inquiries.
  • Attention to detail in completing transactions according to established checklists.
  • Adherence to company policies regarding transaction processing and funding.
  • Strong teamwork skills, with a positive attitude and good attendance.
