Position Overview

As a key member of the Sales Team, the Finance and Insurance Manager plays a crucial role in facilitating all financial transactions related to boat sales. This position serves as the essential link between the sales department and the back office, ensuring that all sales deal documentation is processed efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Sales department to verify the accuracy and completeness of all deal paperwork.
  • Submit financing applications to lender partners and actively pursue approvals, even in challenging situations.
  • Conduct customer closings, ensuring all necessary documents are correctly completed and compliant with banking and state regulations.
  • Assist in converting cash buyers into finance buyers, maximizing sales opportunities.
  • Promote and sell ancillary products such as extended warranties and GAP coverage to enhance revenue streams.
  • Provide customers with comprehensive explanations of the financing products and services available.
  • Maintain compliance with established performance metrics, including timely deal processing and revenue generation.
  • Manage the issuance of state tags and titles, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the timely processing of incoming trades and ensure clear titles are secured.
  • Prepare and submit monthly sales commission reports to the Finance Director.
  • Utilize checklists to ensure all aspects of the finance and insurance process are completed accurately.
  • Offer training and support to the sales team regarding finance products to enhance their selling capabilities.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Finance & Insurance within the marine or automotive dealership sector.
  • Proven ability to structure and secure financing deals with lender partners.
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • A commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
