Overview
Position at SBM ManagementSBM Management is seeking a Custodial Supervisor. The Custodial Supervisor will oversee the assignment and direct management of custodial staff to ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of designated areas. This role includes inspecting locations, equipment, and working conditions to guarantee adherence to sanitation and OSHA standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the activities of custodial personnel within the program.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on tasks, safety protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure custodial services align with site requirements.
- Supply custodial staff with necessary equipment and materials to perform their duties.
- Distribute supplies to custodians as required.
- Conduct regular inspections of quality, service, and safety in assigned areas, reporting findings with a focus on necessary repairs.
- Evaluate and suggest new custodial supplies and equipment through testing.
- Verify that specified contract services are executed by inspecting the work completed.
- Notify the immediate supervisor of any noted deficiencies or issues.
- Report personnel and customer-related matters to the supervisor.
- Immediately report accidents and incidents to the supervisor.
- Execute management responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
- Conduct interviews, hire, plan, assign, and direct work activities.
- Ensure compliance of each team member with SBM policies and procedures.
- Promote operational excellence through training, coaching, and motivating team members.
- Address and resolve complaints and issues.
- Ensure employees receive proper training on tasks and safety protocols.
- Monitor staff for appropriate use of personal protective equipment and supplies.
- Provide recommendations for corrective actions in areas needing improvement.
- Review and maintain employee records, including attendance and performance metrics.
- Address at-risk behaviors and report them to the supervisor promptly.
Qualifications
- A minimum of two to three years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, such as an A.A. Degree with 2+ years of experience or a Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) with at least one year of related experience and/or training.
- A valid driver's license may be required.
- CPR/AED/First Aid certification is a plus.
Compensation: $65,000 - $70,000 per year
Shift: Monday - Friday 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM (some weekends may be required)
