Job Summary:

We are seeking highly motivated and dedicated individuals to fill the position of Custody Deputy. As a Custody Deputy, you will be responsible for maintaining custody and supervising the work and conduct of inmates in our detention facilities. You will also perform related duties as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and instruct inmates in various activities, including maintenance, operational, and rehabilitative tasks.
  • Ensure the safety and security of inmates, staff, and visitors by enforcing rules and regulations.
  • Conduct searches of inmates and their living areas to prevent the introduction of contraband.
  • Prepare and submit reports, including incident reports and activity logs.
  • Participate in training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid California Class C Driver's license required.
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive medical examination and a job-related physical agility examination.
  • Ability to work effectively under stress and adapt to changes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
