Position Overview:

Business Intelligence Analysts are responsible for collecting, cleansing, analyzing, visualizing, and presenting data to support informed business decisions. An effective analyst leverages data to address questions and empower decision-makers to determine the best course of action. Typical responsibilities may include:
  • Collaborating with business leaders and stakeholders to identify problems or business needs.
  • Locating and sourcing relevant data.
  • Preparing and cleaning data for analysis.
  • Identifying patterns and trends within the data.
  • Creating visual representations of data to enhance understanding.
  • Communicating findings in a compelling manner.
Core Responsibilities:

Proficiency in using Power BI, Tableau, R, and other analytical tools for data visualization and reporting is essential. Strong analytical capabilities are required to interpret complex data sets. Familiarity with SQL and SharePoint data structures for data querying and manipulation is necessary. Experience with Excel, including pivot tables and data analysis, is also important.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Program Management, or related fields.
  • Microsoft Office Specialist: Associate (Office 2019).
  • Power BI Microsoft Certification.
  • Experience with Confluence.
  • Jira Certification: Managing Jira Projects.
  • DOD 8570 (IAT Level II) Minimum Requirement - Security+ CE.
  • Relevant experience may substitute for education.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Program Management, or related fields.
  • Microsoft Office Specialist: Expert.
  • Atlassian Certified Expert.
  • Seven years of specific experience.
  • Ten years of general experience.
Key Competencies:
  • Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI or similar tools to visualize key metrics and trends.
  • Analyze data to uncover patterns, trends, and insights that inform business decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create solutions and recommendations based on data analysis.
  • Support ad-hoc analysis and reporting requests as needed.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Knowledge of SQL and SharePoint data structures for data querying and manipulation.
  • Experience with Excel, including pivot tables and data analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills to present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
  • Familiarity with maintaining, updating, and configuring software systems (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Jira, and Confluence).
Clearance and Certifications:
  • TS/SCI Required.
  • Enrolled in CE with a SF86 in the last 12 months (PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT MEET THIS REQUIREMENT).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel).
Required Tools/Technologies:
  • Advocate for Information Technology specific to BMS and IoT systems.
  • Ability to translate complex requirements into practical solutions.
  • Experience collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve project objectives and ensure smooth implementation.
  • Possess historical and practical knowledge of customer facilities and mission-critical infrastructure.
  • Apply project management principles to develop large, complex schedules.
  • Experience working closely with a Project Management Office (PMO) to contribute to continuous improvement processes.
Working Environment:

This position operates in a professional office setting with a noise level that is mostly low to moderate. The role typically involves using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. The incumbent is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to manipulate objects, reach with hands and arms, and communicate effectively. The workload may necessitate prolonged periods of sitting. The incumbent must be able to perform basic math calculations and manage moderate stress levels.
