Core Responsibilities

The IT Asset Management Specialist will collaborate with the Base Custodian to effectively organize and maintain the comprehensive inventory of IT assets across the organization. This role is essential in ensuring that all operations align with the core values upheld by Cayuse.

Key Duties

  • Assist in logistics operations, ensuring personnel meet security clearance requirements as mandated, with limited network access granted accordingly.
  • Provide inventory management support for approximately 9,000 items within the asset management system.
  • Ensure that all accountable IT assets are recorded and transferred to designated accounts consistently throughout the day.
  • Oversee the disposal of packing materials and waste in compliance with established guidelines.
  • Manage the disposal of hardware and software in accordance with government policies and procedures.
  • Conduct annual and monthly audits of trackable assets, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
  • Account for all Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) provided to the workforce, maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Ensure proper tracking of GFE as it transitions within IT support areas.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Possession of Security + certification.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
  • Successful completion of a background check, with potential for additional checks as required.

  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on negotiation and conflict resolution.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficient analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining cooperative relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Reporting Structure: Reports directly to the Program Manager.

Work Environment

  • Professional office setting.
  • Ability to perform duties for extended periods, utilizing office productivity tools efficiently.
  • Establish and maintain a productive workspace.
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules and extended hours as needed.
  • Potential travel for business or professional development may be required.
