Your expertise will contribute to the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of aircraft, focusing on repairs and modifications to aircraft structures and components of moderate complexity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct maintenance and repairs on aircraft components, including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical systems.
  • Utilize technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems to diagnose equipment malfunctions and apply comprehensive technical skills to resolve moderate to complex issues.
  • Interpret technical documentation such as blueprints and manufacturer manuals to guide maintenance procedures.
  • Perform various inspections, including preflight, thru-flight, basic post-flight, and phase inspections.
  • Assist aircrew in flight preparation and execute aircraft launch and recovery operations as needed.
  • Conduct operational checks of all aircraft systems while maintaining the aircraft's appearance and cleanliness.
  • Operate ground support equipment and utilize hand tools, special tools, and fixtures relevant to aircraft maintenance.
  • Document maintenance actions in aircraft records and complete necessary entries in the Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS).
  • Adhere to safety protocols, including good housekeeping practices, tool control, and Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention.
  • Be prepared to perform additional duties related to the occupational field, including temporary assignments and travel.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of four years of hands-on experience in helicopter maintenance operations is essential.
  • Specific experience with the UH-1N, Bell 212, or UH-1 is required.
  • Proficiency in using aircraft hand tools, special tools, and testing equipment is necessary.
  • Knowledge of aircraft safety standards and the operation of portable firefighting equipment is crucial.
  • The ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams, drawings, charts, and technical publications is required.
  • An FAA Airframe Certificate may be necessary.
  • Physical capability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds is required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a United States Secret Security Clearance, with U.S. citizenship required for clearance eligibility.

Additional Requirements:

  • A flightline driver's license is required.
