Position Summary:
A vital member of a dedicated contractor team focused on providing acquisition support to government agencies.

  • Engage in strategic acquisition planning, including the collection and organization of requirement packages from mission partners.
  • Conduct reviews and assist in crafting Performance Work Statements and Statements of Work in collaboration with mission partners.
  • Facilitate source selection processes while adhering to the Federal Acquisition Regulation.
  • Prepare essential acquisition and contract documentation for authorized officials, including requirement packages, Acquisition Strategy Panel (ASP) presentations, Acquisition Plans (AP), Business/Contract Clearance forms, Requests for Proposals (RFP), and contract awards.
  • Execute all pre-award and post-award functions under the guidance of supported officials, ensuring compliance from inception to completion of contracts.
  • Pre-award responsibilities encompass market research, stakeholder coordination (e.g., Small Business Representative), publicizing contract actions, soliciting requirements, evaluating proposals, and drafting awards while meeting critical milestones.
  • Post-award duties involve contract administration, including the exercise of contract options, terminations, and closeout processes, ensuring timely notifications and compliance with FAR regulations.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
  • Assist in conducting price and cost analyses.
  • Oversee contract closeout activities, establishing a plan to comply with GAO mandates for timely contract closure.

Work Environment and Schedule:

  • Primarily remote work, with occasional requirements to perform duties at secure government facilities.
  • Standard working hours are from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

Security Clearance:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Possess a fully adjudicated DoD Clearance at the SECRET level or higher.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree with a minimum of 24 credit hours in Business from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of contracting experience within the Department of Defense, including operational contracting for commodities, services, and construction.
  • FAC-C or DAWIA Level II certification or Certified Federal Contract Manager (CFCM) from NCMA or equivalent civilian certifications. APDP Level II certification in contracting is considered equivalent to DAWIA Level II.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • An active Secret security clearance is required at the time of hire and must be maintained throughout the contract duration.
