Role Summary:
As a vital member of a dedicated contractor team, you will provide essential acquisition support services to a government agency. Your responsibilities will encompass:
- Conducting acquisition strategy development, including gathering requirement packages from mission partners.
- Reviewing and assisting in the formulation of Performance Work Statements and Statements of Work in collaboration with mission partners.
- Offering source selection assistance in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation.
- Drafting comprehensive acquisition and contract documentation for designated officials, including requirement packages, Acquisition Strategy Panel (ASP) presentations, Acquisition Plans (AP), Business/Contract Clearance forms, Requests for Proposals (RFP), and contract awards.
- Executing all pre-award and post-award functions under the guidance of supported officials, ensuring thorough cradle-to-grave contracting processes.
- Performing pre-award tasks such as market research, stakeholder coordination, publicizing contract actions, soliciting requirements, and evaluating proposals.
- Managing post-award activities, including contract administration, option exercises, terminations, and closeout processes.
- Providing mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
- Assisting in conducting price and cost analyses.
- Facilitating contract closeout functions, ensuring compliance with GAO mandates.
Work Environment:
- This position is primarily remote, with occasional work required at secure government facilities.
- Standard working hours are from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday through Friday.
Qualifications:
Security Clearance:
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must possess a fully adjudicated DoD Clearance at the SECRET level or higher.
Essential Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree with a minimum of 24 credit hours in Business from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of five (5) years of contracting experience within the Department of Defense, including operational contracting for commodities, services, and construction.
- FAC-C or DAWIA Level II certification, or Certified Federal Contract Manager (CFCM) from NCMA, or equivalent civilian certifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- An active Secret security clearance is required at the time of hire and must be maintained throughout the contract duration.
