Position Summary:
As a vital member of a dedicated contractor team, you will provide essential acquisition support services to a government agency.
- Engage in acquisition strategy formulation, including the collection and organization of requirement packages from mission partners.
- Review and assist in the creation of Performance Work Statements and Statements of Work in collaboration with mission partners.
- Offer source selection assistance in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation.
- Draft necessary acquisition and contract documentation for supported officials, including requirement packages, Acquisition Strategy Panel (ASP) briefing materials, Acquisition Plans (AP), Business/Contract Clearance forms, Requests for Proposals (RFP), and contract awards.
- Conduct all pre-award and post-award activities under the guidance of supported officials, ensuring comprehensive cradle-to-grave contracting processes. Submit required contract files and documentation.
- Pre-award responsibilities encompass market research, stakeholder coordination (e.g., Small Business Representative), publicizing contract actions, soliciting requirements, evaluating proposals, and drafting awards. Ensure adherence to critical milestones.
- Post-award duties include contract administration, managing contract options, terminations, and closeout processes. Maintain compliance with critical deadlines.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
- Assist in conducting price and cost analyses.
- Execute contract closeout functions, establishing a plan to comply with GAO mandates for contracting closeout.
Work Schedule, Location, and Travel:
- This position is primarily REMOTE, with occasional work at a secure government facility.
- Standard office hours are from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday through Friday.
Qualifications
Security Clearance:
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- A fully adjudicated DoD Clearance at the SECRET level or higher is mandatory.
Essential Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree with a minimum of 24 credit hours in Business from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of five (5) years of contracting experience within the Department of Defense, including operational contracting for commodities, services, and construction.
- FAC-C or DAWIA Level II certification, or Certified Federal Contract Manager (CFCM) from NCMA, or equivalent civilian certifications. APDP Level II certification in contracting is recognized as equivalent to DAWIA Level II.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential.
- An active Secret security clearance is required at the time of hire and must be maintained throughout the contract duration.
