Position Overview:
We are looking for a Facilities Operations Supervisor to oversee our facilities management program. This role is essential in coordinating building maintenance, construction initiatives, and equipment enhancements. The Facilities Operations Supervisor will conduct specialized facilities management tasks that support our operational and maintenance activities, ensuring that our facilities and equipment are maintained in optimal condition.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Supervise and execute specialized facilities management tasks, including compliance with fire and disaster protocols, maintenance, and repair of equipment controls and systems.
  2. Develop and oversee predictive, preventive, and reliability-centered maintenance programs, including maintenance checklists and related analyses.
  3. Provide consultation to staff regarding facilities management, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and coordinating project activities across various departments.
  4. Manage project assignments, including budget preparation for maintenance projects, overseeing execution, resolving complex issues, and reviewing invoices for payment authorization.
  5. Direct new construction and renovation projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications and local regulations.
  6. Recommend maintenance standards and procedures, and identify training needs for maintenance personnel.
  7. Oversee on-site inspections and assist inspectors in their duties, providing necessary reports following surveys and audits.
  8. Prepare comprehensive facilities reports and analyses for management review.
  9. Assess and communicate recommendations regarding space utilization, equipment, and personnel needs.
  10. Transport patients as required between various center locations.
  11. Inspect facilities and maintenance activities, assisting in the planning of annual maintenance schedules.
  12. Participate in the recruitment and training of new staff, managing work assignments and performance evaluations.
  13. Ensure that outdoor areas are maintained, including snow and ice removal during winter months.
  14. Perform any additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant certification preferred.
  • High School Diploma/GED or significant experience in facilities management.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Facilities Operations Management, ideally within a healthcare setting.
  • Valid NYS Driver's License with a satisfactory record.
  • Experience in construction is advantageous.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry for basic repairs.
  • Custodial and maintenance skills are essential.
Additional Skills:
  • Proficient in computer applications.
  • Demonstrated professionalism.
  • Flexible scheduling may be necessary, including weekends or evenings.
  • Clean NYS Driver's License is required for local travel.
