About the Position

This is a full-time position with the State of Kansas, Department of Commerce. The Administrative Officer serves as the primary point of contact for incoming calls and emails to the Business Development division, managing schedules for economic development representatives, including those in field offices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain office files, review and prepare marketing payment vouchers, and process orders for business cards, nameplates, and name badges.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for staff, including out-of-state travel requests and vouchers.
  • Prioritize requests for presentations and public appearances, collaborating with the Administrative & Logistics Coordinator to schedule appointments and handle customer service responses related to the agency's website.
Qualifications
  • Two to five years of experience in office support/clerical work required.
  • Three years' experience preferred providing administrative support to a senior executive.
