About the Position

The State of Kansas is seeking a highly skilled Fiscal Services Manager to join our team in the Office of Financial Management. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading assigned accountants, ensuring established standards of continuous quality improvement are met, and providing leadership for excellent customer service.

The Fiscal Services Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Department of Administration's Fiscal Department, maintaining proper internal control by approving and releasing transactions in SMART. You will also be responsible for supervising multiple accounting positions, developing an effective workflow, and providing feedback and training to staff members.

In addition, you will provide technical accounting advice in the design, development, and business processes to assist division staff, management, and agencies. You will also develop, prepare, and analyze data in SMART and provide reports to executive managers of agencies you serve.

This is a full-time, regular position with a salary range of $75,000.00 - $83,000.00. The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and three years of experience in planning, organizing, and directing the work of a department, program, or agency.
