Role Summary:
We are currently seeking a talented Clinical Account Executive to join our expanding team. This pivotal position involves identifying opportunities for enhancement and articulating clinical information clearly to both clinical and non-clinical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate innovative clinical strategies aimed at enhancing member health through comprehensive analysis of prescription claims data.
  • Oversee clinical initiatives established by external partners.
  • Engage with clients to review clinical trends, analyze pharmacy data, and provide informed recommendations for clinical management.
  • Contribute to the growth of pharmacy products and assist in the creation of a comprehensive clinical management playbook and training resources for sales and client management.
  • Interpret current pharmacy and healthcare trends to inform clinical strategies.
  • Serve as the clinical consultant for the account team, providing drug information and expertise.
  • Proactively advise clients on emerging drug pipeline activities, including new generics and clinical regulations.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment across departments in support of sales initiatives.
  • Assist with RFI and RFP submissions.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities and projects as required.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five years of pharmacy experience within a leading Health Plan or PBM, demonstrating a strong background in clinical pharmacy benefit management.
  • PharmD degree is required.
  • At least three years of experience in analyzing prescription claims data using Excel.
  • Extensive knowledge of specialty medications, formulary development, and evaluation processes.
  • Understanding of concierge service principles in client management.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience in developing materials and presenting to senior clients.
  • Aptitude for thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong clinical judgment and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Familiarity with the pharmacy benefits sales process.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
  • In-depth knowledge of PBM or Health Plan pharmacy programs.
  • Understanding of PBM and pharmacy services contracts.
  • Retail pharmacy experience is preferred.
