Key Responsibilities:
As a Financial Operations Manager, your duties will include:

  • Leading a team of over 5 professionals.
  • Overseeing the month-end financial closing process.
  • Collaborating with external audit and tax teams to guarantee timely and precise completion of year-end audits and tax filings.
  • Maintaining expertise in GAAP and relevant research standards.
  • Updating accounting policies as new systems and processes are integrated.
  • Ensuring accurate member distributions and prompt payments.
  • Supervising payroll processing and related schedules.
  • Assisting the Finance Team with budgeting and forecasting.
  • Managing cash flow and liquidity effectively.
  • Ensuring adequate insurance coverage and collaborating with brokers on renewals.
  • Driving transformative projects to enhance the Finance & Accounting department's efficiency.
  • Supporting M&A activities by integrating acquisitions and streamlining processes.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including 3 years in a Public Accounting Firm (audit and tax experience preferred).
  • Proven leadership and team development skills.
  • Ability to adapt processes in response to evolving systems and scale.
  • Experience in drafting audited financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
  • Strong financial analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of collaborating with various internal departments and senior leadership.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • High degree of initiative, judgment, and decision-making skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • CPA certification.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel skills.
