Job Description:

Solventum is a leading company in the healthcare industry, and we are seeking a highly skilled Plant Labor Relations Specialist to join our team.

The Role:

As a Plant Labor Relations Specialist, you will be responsible for promoting and supporting positive labor relations with union leadership and employees. You will lead the site grievance process, contract negotiations, and arbitrations on behalf of the company, ensuring compliance with CBA provisions while meeting the needs of the business.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and support positive labor relations with union leadership and employees
  • Lead the site grievance process, contract negotiations, and arbitrations on behalf of the company
  • Interpret and apply rules and past practice to ensure compliance with CBA provisions
  • Guide the facilitation of performance management and conflict resolution through consultation and coaching of leaders and employees
  • Collaborate with leaders and functional partners in the development and implementation of key human resources initiatives
  • Contribute to other HR-related activities and projects

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher AND seven (7) years of Human Resources experience in a private, public, government, or military environment
  • High School Diploma/GED from AND (11) years of Human Resources experience in a private, public, government, or military environment
  • One (1) or more years of supervisor experience
  • Five (5) or more years of labor relations experience
  • Two (2) or more years of experience leading or supporting the union grievance process, contract negotiations, and arbitrations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possess expertise equivalent to that which would be obtained in a master's degree or higher in a human resources field
  • Possess expertise equivalent to that which is needed to obtain SPHR or PHR certification
  • Human resources experience in a manufacturing environment

Work Location: Onsite - Meriden, CT

Travel: May include up to 5% domestic

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized
