Role Summary:
The Market Manager is responsible for driving sales growth within our esteemed portfolio of award-winning beers. This role entails direct engagement with key On and Off-Premise accounts, expanding sales opportunities, and enhancing distribution channels in both existing and new markets. Collaboration with our distributor network is essential to nurture and grow all accounts within the designated area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Relentlessly pursue new distribution opportunities in both On & Off-Premise settings.
- Engage with current key accounts to maintain and expand distribution, present new offerings, and introduce limited release products.
- Implement weekly promotions and special events to boost brand visibility and encourage consumer sampling.
- Cultivate and sustain positive relationships with account staff and distributor sales teams.
- Exemplify excellence in follow-up and follow-through across all aspects of the role.
- Participate in company meetings, market blitzes, and collaborate with team members to execute the sales strategy.
- Complete necessary administrative tasks and reporting promptly.
- Achieve all sales targets and manage personal budgets effectively.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications:
Essential Skills and Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree coupled with relevant sales experience; experience in beer sales is highly desirable.
- Cicerone certification or equivalent beer expertise is strongly preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Firestone Walker beers, other craft beers, and the craft beer landscape.
- Proficient in both verbal and written communication, capable of conveying information effectively.
- Strong persuasive abilities to influence decision-making processes.
- Active listening skills to understand and address account needs effectively.
- Exceptional time management and proactive initiative.
- Outstanding organizational skills to manage priorities efficiently.
- Social awareness to understand and respond to others' reactions.
- Strong decision-making capabilities based on relevant information analysis.
- Negotiation skills to reconcile differences and foster collaboration.
Additional Requirements:
- Proficient in using a laptop and relevant software (Windows, Microsoft Office Suite).
- Familiarity with CRM systems such as VIP Karma, Lilypad, or similar tools.
- A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, along with a reliable vehicle for continuous travel.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, exceeding 40 hours per week, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must reside within the designated territory.
- Previous supplier or distributor experience is required.
