Position Overview

As the Senior Inventory Optimization Manager, you will take charge of ASIN forecasting and purchasing metrics, including SoROOS and OIH. Your primary responsibility will be to define and implement a comprehensive Supply Chain Strategy for a global inventory initiative. Collaborating with a diverse team of Product Managers, Vendor Managers, Program Managers, and Operations Managers, you will drive enhancements in operational processes to facilitate the movement of inventory worldwide, aiming to maximize product availability, minimize inefficiencies, achieve operational excellence, and optimize service costs.

Key Responsibilities

In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in redefining the Supply Chain to align with Amazon's procurement systems, fostering collaboration with both vendors and the existing Amazon Fulfillment Center network. Your involvement will span all facets of inventory management, operational oversight, and Supply Chain optimization. You must possess the ability to lead and influence both internal stakeholders and external vendors in a dynamic environment while upholding a customer-focused approach.

Areas of Focus

  • Identifying and implementing improvement opportunities in demand and production planning.
  • Optimizing end-to-end supply chain integration to enhance service cost efficiency, reduce waste, and lower carbon emissions.
  • Analyzing production and delivery lead times, as well as operational excellence metrics such as EDI adoption, purchase order confirmations, fulfillment processes, efficient receiving, and inventory placement.

This role empowers you to make a significant impact on the transformation of our supply chain management within one of the most dynamic sectors.

Basic Qualifications

Strong understanding of Profit and Loss (P&L) management.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with SQL queries, Pan EU SCOT forecasting, and purchasing processes.

Compensation Information

Our compensation reflects the labor costs across various US geographic markets. The base salary for this position ranges from $96,900/year in our lowest geographic market to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Compensation is influenced by several factors, including market location and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company, and depending on the position, equity, sign-on bonuses, and other forms of compensation may be included in the total compensation package, alongside a comprehensive range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
