By joining this team, you will have the chance to both construct and operate in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, driving initiatives that enhance sales, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

Success begins with being a self-starter, highly organized, and possessing strong data extraction and analytical skills. In this role, we seek individuals who are thoughtful in their pursuit of results and thrive in a high-energy environment where tactical and strategic activities are expected to be managed concurrently.

Strong candidates will possess knowledge of fundamental business principles and prior Retail experience. The ideal candidate is capable of leading and influencing both internal and external teams in an ambiguous setting while maintaining a customer-centric approach.

Key Responsibilities

A successful Inventory Optimization Manager will:

  • Oversee inventory availability and health, focusing on improved stock levels, inventory planning, vendor operational enhancements (efficiency, fill rates, lead time), forecasting, and waste reduction.
  • Drive strategic cross-functional initiatives to enhance customer experience and the overall cost structure of the business.
  • Conduct complex business analyses to identify opportunities for revenue and profitability improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop tools, automation, and process enhancements that impact purchasing and vendor management workflows.

A Day in the Life

Note: this is a Hybrid role, requiring an IOM to be on-site at least 3 days/week in one of our Amazon Fresh corporate offices.

As an Inventory Optimization Manager, you will work closely with top suppliers, internal vendors, and other strategic partners to enhance supply chains and achieve operational excellence. You will be part of a professional environment that fosters growth, values insights, and empowers you to shape the future of e-commerce.
