Overview

The Room Attendant plays a crucial role in ensuring that guest accommodations are kept immaculate and welcoming, while delivering exceptional service to all visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a friendly, attentive, and professional demeanor towards guests, management, and colleagues at all times.
  • Execute thorough cleaning of guest rooms in accordance with established standards.
  • Prepare for cleaning by organizing guest supplies, cleaning materials, and linens for the housekeeping cart.
  • Remove all waste and soiled linens from guest rooms and corridors.
  • Ensure that hallways, public spaces, and storage areas are kept tidy and vacuumed as necessary.
  • Restock the housekeeping cart in preparation for the following day’s tasks.
  • Refill cleaning chemical containers as needed.
  • Clean guest rooms with the door closed, adhering to standards unless otherwise requested by the guest.
  • Report any missing items from rooms to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager.
  • Notify the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager of any maintenance issues immediately.
  • Manage lost and found items according to company policy.
  • Strive to ensure complete guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, along with experience in the hospitality industry, is preferred.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally, and 20 pounds frequently.
  • Must be capable of standing for the duration of the shift.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential, with the ability to interact courteously and professionally with guests and staff at all levels.
