Role Summary
Company Expectations

- Provide warm and welcoming greetings both over the phone and in person.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in paperwork and electronic medical records (EMR).
- Input patient medical histories and prescriptions into the EMR system.
- Educate patients and address inquiries both in-office and via phone as necessary.
- Schedule appointments for new, returning, and follow-up patients.
- Verify patient insurance information.
- Assist with patient check-out processes, including collecting co-pays and outstanding balances.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Educational Background
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Experience Requirements
A minimum of two to three years of experience in a medical office setting is required. Experience in a dermatology practice is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with Electronic Healthcare Record software is also preferred but not essential.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient mathematical abilities.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to dermatology, including CPT and ICD codes.
- Professional demeanor and appearance.
- Ability to demonstrate empathy and care in interactions with patients and colleagues.
- Capability to discuss products and services offered.
- Effective task prioritization and understanding of provider instructions, knowing when to seek guidance.
Standard office equipment, including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, and telephones.
Work Environment
This position is situated in a well-lit medical office setting, with occasional evening and weekend hours required.
Physical Demands
Must possess the dexterity to operate office machinery, including computers and calculators; ability to stoop and bend to manage files and supplies; and mobility to complete errands or deliveries. Responsibilities may include handling sharps and chemicals. Stress may arise from multiple demands and deadlines.
