This position is situated within Enterprise Engineering (EE), where we establish technical standards, tools, processes, training, and expertise for product engineering and manufacturing. EE enables all Blue Origin divisions to leverage shared capabilities, hardware, and software, while also aiding in the identification, selection, and training of engineers from both internal and external sources.

As a vital member of a dedicated team of specialists, you will be engaged in the development, implementation, and maintenance of Windchill solutions that bolster our operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement tailored Windchill solutions utilizing Windchill APIs and the Windchill Object Model.
  • Facilitate integration initiatives between Windchill and other enterprise systems and applications.
  • Create custom actions, wizards, workflows, lifecycles, and policies within the Windchill environment.
  • Develop and sustain custom Windchill user interfaces using JSP and Java.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical challenges associated with Windchill customizations.
  • Generate and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for Windchill customizations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and convert them into technical solutions.
  • Provide training and support to end-users regarding custom Windchill functionalities.
  • Stay informed about the latest Windchill advancements and industry best practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with Windchill PLM software, particularly in customization development.
  • Proficiency in Windchill PDMLink, Windchill ProjectLink, and other Windchill modules.
  • Strong programming skills in Java, JSP, and XML.
  • Experience in Windchill customization utilizing Windchill APIs and the Windchill Object Model.
  • Understanding of Windchill system administration, including user management and security settings.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server) and SQL scripting.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of CAD integration with Windchill.
  • Experience with web services and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and code management.
  • Experience with AWS cloud services.
  • Proficiency in Linux administration and shell scripting.
