Role Overview

We are seeking an Infrastructure Solutions Engineer to join our IT Enterprise Engineering team. In this role, you will collaborate with a talented group of Systems and Software Engineers to maintain and enhance our IT infrastructure and services. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring the seamless operation of systems utilized across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with leadership, engineers, and clients to devise innovative solutions for both On-Premise and IaaS platforms (AWS/GCP).
  • Work alongside Systems Administrators to architect and implement solutions for Identity Access Management tools.
  • Participate in system maintenance and regular updates to ensure optimal performance.
  • Drive automation initiatives through the use of configuration management, images, and templates across various environments.
  • Enhance monitoring, logging, and signaling capabilities to improve system reliability.
  • Collaborate with team members to create scalable and dependable DevOps tools, including CI/CD pipelines and source control systems.
  • Coordinate with IT partner teams to ensure a robust setup for all team members and tools.
  • Develop solutions utilizing microservices or monolithic architectures.
  • Employ both commercial and open-source tools to maximize business impact while optimizing costs.
  • Design services and tools with comprehensive documentation for operational efficiency.
  • Assess new technologies and collaborate with leadership to prioritize their deployment based on business needs.
  • Effectively communicate project timelines, dependencies, and progress to stakeholders.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to support system availability.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficiency with microservices, particularly Kubernetes and container technologies.
  • Strong foundation in core infrastructure technologies, including load balancing, auto-scaling, and networking.
  • Experience in building services on AWS/GCP and managing On-Premise infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure automation and configuration management tools.
  • Knowledge of version control, testing, continuous integration, and deployment processes.
  • Adept at prioritizing tasks and working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Systems Engineer focused on enterprise applications and automation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Programming skills in Bash, Python, or Golang.
  • Experience with tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and Packer.
  • Knowledge of SQL and relational database systems like PostgreSQL and MySQL.
  • Excellent communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • A collaborative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
