About the RoleAs an AI Solutions Engineer at Supernormal, you will develop the artificial intelligence that enhances our core product experience for meetings, including transcription, note generation, and task automation. Our AI team is responsible for creating reliable and secure services that leverage cutting-edge AI models to produce millions of high-quality meeting notes for a rapidly expanding customer base. Your role will heavily involve software engineering, and we seek individuals who are eager to implement new models and features swiftly.
Key ResponsibilitiesIn your role as an AI Solutions Engineer, you will oversee the complete development cycle of our AI solutions for meeting notes, question answering, and task completion. Your responsibilities will include:
- Utilizing advanced techniques for prompt engineering to enhance core meeting assistant functionalities.
- Designing and deploying custom machine learning models to enrich our AI infrastructure, focusing on improving transcript quality and optimizing API usage.
- Training and implementing custom large language models using state-of-the-art methodologies.
- Creating innovative product experiences using NLP and LLMs, which evolve based on user feedback and collaboration with product engineers and designers.
- Establishing and refining business and product metrics to enhance the quality and cost-effectiveness of AI applications.
- Enhancing LLM-driven search and question answering capabilities over meeting datasets.
- Championing new methodologies to improve processes and outcomes.
The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in machine learning and a proactive mindset, capable of both developing models and producing efficient production code.
- AI/ML Expertise: A proven track record of 3-5 years in building machine learning systems, with up-to-date knowledge in NLP and LLMs, alongside experience in data curation and model training.
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI, Mathematics, or a related field; advanced degrees are advantageous.
- Software Engineering Proficiency: A solid foundation in software engineering principles, with experience in supporting production systems.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL: Familiarity with Python and PyTorch, along with experience in SQL for data manipulation.
- A collaborative mindset, focused on mutual growth and improvement.
- A determination to tackle complex problems with the support of the team.
- Confidence in operating with autonomy while contributing ideas and solutions.
- A willingness to understand existing processes and propose enhancements.
