Position Overview

The Patient Care Assistant (PCA) plays a crucial role in supporting the Mission and Vision of Providence Health & Services. This position involves assisting Registered Nurses and Licensed Vocational Nurses with patient care duties and various unit-based activities within the assigned department.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist nursing staff in delivering quality patient care
- Engage in unit-based activities to enhance patient experience
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Required Qualifications:
- Education that meets certification, license, or registration requirements
- California Nursing Assistant Certification License upon hire
- National Provider BLS certification upon hire

Preferred Qualifications:
- Six months of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant in acute, sub-acute, or skilled nursing facilities, or one year of experience in an acute hospital setting.
