Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at American Family Care Santa Clarita. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Front Office and Back Office Duties
    • Manage patient flow, wait times, and staff schedules to ensure a smooth clinic operation.
    • Assist with patient billing inquiries and resolve any issues in a timely manner.
  • Patient Care and Support
    • Prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain accurate documentation.
    • Perform laboratory tests, quality controls, and equipment maintenance according to established protocols.
  • Leadership and Collaboration
    • Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and providers to ensure excellent customer service.
    • Collaborate with the supervisor and billing company to resolve patient billing issues.
    • Assist in training new medical support staff in front and back office procedures.
Requirements
  • Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • AMT registered and AAMA Certified Medical Assistants are preferred.
