Key responsibilities include:

  • Leveraging Hilti's expertise to secure commitments for the specification or endorsement of Hilti products, while providing value by aiding the design community in resolving design challenges.
  • Safeguarding the company from potential liabilities through sound engineering judgment.
  • Engaging in direct communication—face-to-face, via phone, and electronically—with territory sales representatives, strategic business personnel, sales managers, contractors, designers, and regulatory officials.
  • Conducting site visits to assess application challenges and opportunities, offering technical education and solutions.
  • Investigating product performance issues in the field and relaying feedback to product management as necessary.
  • Exploring business prospects by participating in customer surveys for product and market enhancement.
  • Contributing to local sales strategy formulation and participating in sales management review sessions.
  • Delivering professional educational seminars and presentations to architecture and engineering firms, highlighting Hilti products, their performance attributes, applications, and limitations.
  • Providing informed recommendations to engineers, architects, and other designers regarding specific applications, utilizing sound engineering judgment.
  • Conducting field tests to ascertain capabilities in scenarios not covered by existing data.
  • Reviewing project specifications or calculations for engineers and architects, maintaining accurate records of contacts and specifications using Hilti's software.
  • Coordinating jobsite management within the CRM system, including the creation of specific jobsites and active participation in monthly sales management meetings.
  • Communicating application specifications to the sales team and assigning tasks for the conversion of specifications into sales.
  • Maintaining and updating a regional database of designers, influencers, and regulatory officials.
  • Collaborating with local and regional code and approval agencies to secure necessary endorsements.
  • Understanding construction methodologies and local building regulations as they pertain to Hilti products.
  • Actively participating in local organizations within the design and construction sectors.

Leadership and Development:

Providing direct coaching and informal mentorship to new and less experienced Field Engineers and Sales team members to enhance their learning curve and contributions to Hilti.

Project Coordination:

Working closely with Regional Sales Management to coordinate projects and collaborate with marketing and development teams for customer acceptance tests and product innovation testing.

This role is pivotal in understanding customer needs and developing tailored products and services that meet those needs.
