Position Overview

The Regional Sales Leader plays a vital role in achieving sales targets, executing account strategies defined by management, and delivering results within a matrix sales framework. This position involves identifying, developing, and realizing project opportunities within the designated sales territory while also attracting new clients to enhance product demand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the formulation and execution of sales and account strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Develop and implement strategic account plans for key clients to surpass expectations in revenue growth, account profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive demand for our products by identifying and pursuing project opportunities, maintaining a systematic schedule of customer engagements based on CRM segmentation.
  • Foster long-term relationships with key decision-makers within client organizations, gaining insights into their structure and purchasing influences.
  • Conduct sales presentations to diverse audiences, including cross-functional teams, architects, distributors, builders, and contractors, utilizing appropriate resources.
  • Enhance market growth by effectively communicating the value proposition tailored to each stakeholder group.
  • Manage annual sales and strategic account plans to achieve market penetration across various segments.
  • Collaborate with local independent manufacturer representatives as directed by the Regional Sales Director.
  • Travel to various locations to provide necessary training and support.
  • Prioritize and follow up on leads generated from trade shows and other sources.
  • Support cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution of client deliveries and promote the adoption of EDI and VMI by distributors.

Reporting and Analysis

  • Maintain comprehensive monthly sales reports and business metrics, identifying opportunities and reporting on trends.
  • Provide regular updates to management regarding field activities, sales performance, and competitive landscape.
  • Track travel and related expenses, ensuring adherence to budget parameters.
  • Utilize CRM tools to manage daily activities, document opportunities, and maintain up-to-date calendars.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of sales experience.
  • A college degree is preferred.
  • A valid and active driver's license is required.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
