Cybersecurity Compliance Officer

Position Overview:
The selected candidate will be tasked with executing a thorough evaluation of the management, operational, and technical security measures utilized within or adopted by the information systems to assess the overall efficacy of these measures.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in prevalent information security and risk management frameworks.
- Security + certification is mandatory.
- 3+ years of experience with NIST Compliance and Third Party Risk evaluations.
- In-depth understanding of information security protocols, procedures, and regulations.
- Prior experience in a governmental agency setting is highly advantageous.
- Capability to operate autonomously with minimal supervision to fulfill assigned tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation and management of the Organization's Secure Systems.
- Conduct security evaluations and audits of account permissions, data access requirements, security breaches, and programming modifications.
- Formulate effective strategies to protect computer configurations and data files from accidental or unauthorized alterations, destruction, or exposure, while also addressing emergency data processing needs.
- Facilitate the execution of system security plans for internal staff and external vendors.
- Oversee account permissions and data access requirements.
- Examine security breaches and necessary programming modifications.
- Advise management and users on security configurations and protocols.
- Engage in the development of information technology disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
- Continuously evaluate and analyze technical risks associated with new and existing applications and systems, including data center physical security and environmental factors.
- Investigate, assess, and recommend systems and procedures for the prevention, detection, containment, and rectification of data security incidents.
- Prepare comprehensive security assessment reports detailing findings.
- May be required to undertake additional responsibilities as necessary.
